Privacy Policy

What personal data we collect, why we are allowed to hold it, how long we keep it, who else sees it, and how to make us stop. Written to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Last updated 3 August 2026  ·  Applies to pixelcrown.co.uk  ·  PixelCrown Media Ltd

1. Data controller

The data controller for pixelcrown.co.uk is PixelCrown Media Ltd, Suite 12, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.

For any data protection matter, including exercising your rights, contact privacy@pixelcrown.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days.

2. Our position in one paragraph

We are a publication, not an operator. We do not run accounts, take deposits, or process payments, so we hold far less about you than a gambling operator would. We do not ask for your date of birth, your address, your identity documents or your card details, and you should never send them to us. Most people who read this website give us no personal data at all.

3. What we collect, and why

Personal data we process, with lawful basis and retention
Data Why we have it Lawful basis (UK GDPR Art. 6) Kept for
Name, email address, subject and message you submit through our contact form To answer your enquiry, and to keep a record of correspondence and any complaint Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you tick the box before sending. Also legitimate interests for complaint records (Art. 6(1)(f)) 24 months from last contact
Your cookie choice (accept or reject) So we honour your decision and do not ask again on every page Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — we must be able to demonstrate consent status under PECR 6 months
Server log data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, referrer Security, abuse prevention, fault diagnosis and keeping the website online Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating a secure website 30 days, then deleted
Aggregated usage measurement To understand which reviews are read, so we know where to spend editorial effort Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only if you accept optional cookies 13 months

We do not collect special category data (health, beliefs, sexuality, biometrics and so on) and we ask you not to send it to us. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Children

This website is strictly for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email privacy@pixelcrown.co.uk and we will delete it without delay.

5. Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. The only parties who may process it are:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores server logs on our behalf as a data processor under a written agreement.
  • Our email provider, which carries correspondence with you.
  • A public authority, where we are legally required to disclose — for example under a court order.

Each processor acts only on our instructions and is bound by contract to appropriate security and confidentiality obligations.

6. Affiliate links and what we do not receive

When you follow one of our outbound brand links, you leave this website and arrive at an operator's own website. From that moment, the operator is the controller of your data and its privacy policy applies, not ours.

We want to be exact about what we do and do not get back. We receive aggregated commercial reporting only — for example, that a given number of accounts were opened in a month. We do not receive your name, your email address, your account details, your deposit amounts, your losses, your winnings, or any record of what you did with that operator. We could not identify you from what we are sent, and we do not try to.

7. International transfers

We aim to keep personal data within the UK or the European Economic Area. Where a processor transfers data outside those areas, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses), together with a transfer risk assessment. You may request details of the safeguards in place for any specific transfer.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security, a restrictive Content Security Policy, and standard hardening headers. Access to enquiry correspondence is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise — but if a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours and, where the risk is high, tell you directly.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how we use your data — this page.
  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure of your data where there is no overriding reason for us to keep it.
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, where consent is our basis.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@pixelcrown.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month, and we will not charge you. We may ask a question or two to confirm we are dealing with the right person — but only what is necessary, and we will not demand identity documents for a simple erasure request.

10. Complaining to the regulator

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's independent data protection regulator:

  • Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
  • Helpline: 0303 123 1113
  • Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF

Complaining to the ICO does not cost you anything and does not affect any other rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and we will update the "last updated" date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you rather than rely on you noticing.

12. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are covered separately and in detail in our Cookie Policy, including a full table of what is set and for how long.
